Legalization Attestation

 

 

Attestation & Legalization:

 

Applicants please note that attestation of documents requires minimum one working day to be processed.

 

Attestation/Legalisation of Documents Issued by the Authorities in Afghanistan:

National ID card Tazkera, Diplomas, Degrees, Mark-Sheets, Marriage Certificates, Birth Certificates, etc., issued by the authorities in Afghanistan can be attested by the Embassy of Afghanistan in Stockholm. In order to get these documents attested by the Embassy, they first are to be attested by the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kabul.

After the above-mentioned attestation, the Embassy of Afghanistan is empowered to attest the documents, for which the individual needs to fulfill the following conditions:

•Submit the original document to be attested

•Processing Time: at least one working day

•If the document is to be sent back by post after necessary attestation, a self-addressed adequately-stamped envelope should deposited in addition to the documents mentioned above and the counter official informed about the return of the documents by post.

 

Attestation of Documents Issued by Swedish Authorities:

If attestation of documents like educational certificate, birth, marriage or death certificates, etc, issued by authorities in Sweden is required, these will first have to be authenticated by the Foreign Ministry of the concerned Government. The individual needs to fulfill the following conditions:

•Submit the original document to be attested

•Processing Time: at least one working day

•If the document is to be sent back by post after necessary attestation, a self-addressed adequately-stamped envelope should be deposited in addition to the documents mentioned above and the counter official informed about the return of the documents by post.

•Payment of the fee for the above mentioned service by credit or debit card 900 SEK

 

Payment method:

1.Fees and all other consular charges are ONLY payable in SEK. Payment in any other currency will not be accepted.

2.Applicants can pay the consular charges by credit or debit cards at the Consular Section.

 

The Embassy will not take any responsibility for the loss of documents that are sent by post.

 

Applying in person:

Applicants may apply in person by visiting the Consular Section of the Embassy (see the address above) during the section’s official opening hours which are as follows:

Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 13:00pm.

Collection of the Documents Monday through Friday 14:00 to 4:00pm.

Please be advised that as of March 20th, 2016, all applicants are required to book an appointment in order to attend the Consular Section of the Embassy of Afghanistan in Stockholm.
